The Handbook: empathy and support for survivors of shootings

When I was 14 I found myself face to face with a gunman in a shooting. Now, this situation is all too common. I wanted to use my experience to advocate for other survivors, and help get them the support they need. I put together a guidebook for how to approach this issue, and things to keep in mind when interacting with a survivor of trauma.

Strategically I wanted to create this book to be inviting, open and easily digestible. Too often trauma recovery books are psychology heavy, but I wanted this to focus on human relationships and ways to improve support within communities.
